Picking an Odoo ERP implementation company is one of the most expensive decisions you will make this year. The wrong choice means delays, overruns and a team that quietly goes back to spreadsheets.
Use this checklist to compare vendors side by side. Score each point from 1 to 5 and the right partner usually becomes obvious.
1. Official Odoo partnership Check whether the company is a recognized Odoo partner. It signals access to current training, product updates and support channels. INTECH Creative Services is an official Odoo Ready Partner.
2. A documented implementation methodology Ask to see the process on paper. Look for defined phases, formal reviews at each phase and clear acceptance criteria. Vague answers like “we’ll figure it out together” are a warning sign.
3. Fixed scope before build starts A good partner locks scope, cost and timeline after a design phase. Every change request should be quoted and approved in advance.
4. Honest advice on customization The best partners will tell you when standard Odoo is enough. If every requirement leads to custom code, expect budget trouble later.
5. Data migration discipline Ask how many full migration dry runs they do before cutover. Two or more is a healthy answer. One, or none, is a risk.
6. Industry experience A manufacturing plant and a distribution warehouse need very different setups. Ask for case studies in your industry, such as manufacturing, logistics, retail, real estate or ports.
7. Integration capability Your ERP has to talk to your website, payment gateway, CRM and other tools. Confirm they have delivered integrations like yours before.
8. Team depth and continuity Find out who actually does the work. A vendor with a large in-house team can scale up when you need it and keeps knowledge inside the company.
9. Training and go-live support Look for role-based training, a cutover rehearsal and real-time support during go-live weekend.
10. Post-launch support with SLAs Hypercare for 30 to 90 days and a defined maintenance plan afterward are signs of a partner who stays after launch.
Red flags to walk away from
- No written scope or only a rough estimate
- Pressure to sign before discovery
- No references or case studies
- Support ends on go-live day
