I've been looking at a used A6 and the owner is being really weird about me getting it checked before buying. He says he's had "plenty of interest" and doesn't want to waste time driving it to a workshop, which just makes me more suspicious honestly. I've never bought an Audi before and I keep hearing about timing chain tensioners and gearbox issues that only show up on a proper scan, so I'm not comfortable buying blind.
