Been dreaming about a GranTurismo for years and I'm finally in a position where a used one is within reach, probably looking at 2012 to 2015 cars with reasonable mileage. Before I go view any I want to actually understand what I'm getting into rather than getting swept up in that V8 sound and making a stupid decision. The things that worry me are the clutch wear on the automated manual, potential subframe issues, and just how expensive parts get when something goes wrong. I've been reading up online to learn more about what these cars typically need as they age, which has been useful, but I'd rather hear from actual owners about the day to day reality. What's the biggest surprise you had after buying yours, good or bad? And is there anything specific I should be checking on a test drive that wouldn't occur to someone who's never owned an Italian car before? Trying not to let my heart overrule my head on this one.
